Steel bent by hand,
one rose at a time.

The shop sits back in the trees outside Eau Claire, and most days that is where he is. Decades of welding, fabricating, and fixing other people’s equipment taught him how steel behaves. Somewhere in there, Timothy Litscher started making things nobody asked for, and then people started asking.

The material comes from everywhere. Tank ends, perforated plate, brass lamp bases, farm implements, whatever turns up. He is known around the state for red roses wound through black iron gates in front of houses far grander than his own, and for a stretch of arched steel along the Manitowoc riverfront that people stop and photograph at night.

He does not do artist statements. He does the work, and he takes commissions.
